The 2013 edition of XC90 has already generated quite a bit of curiosity amongst the auto fans and enthusiasts. The outlook of the vehicle has vastly changed and it is all geared up to lock horns with some of the best in the segment. The company also claims that this it is the biggest refresh of the vehicle since its launch back in 2003. Let us take a closer look at what the new has in store for us.
Under the Hood
Under the hood of the crossover lies a 3.2liter 6-cylinder engine, which is good for 240hp and 236 lb-ft of torque, mated to a 6 speed auto gearbox and all wheel drive has been included as an enticing option, which we are sure will have many takers.
The crossover is rated to return 16 mpg on city roads and 23 mpg on highways.
Rear and front bumpers are now colored in regular body paint and so are the stylish wheel arches and side skirts; all this makes up for a very sleek outlook. LED taillights and LED daytime running lights go standard. Other enticing upgrades include matte finish rearview mirrors, silver colored front bumper, and new 18 inch Thalia wheels. Two new body paints joining the line for 2013 are Flaminco Red and Twilight Bronze. Then there is an R-Design edition, which includes 19 inch Ixion wheels, sporty steering, and suspension. Then there is leather seating, R-Design steering, floor mats, and R-Design grille.
The cabin has seating for 7 adults and comes with luxury accents as white instrument illumination, tailgate wrapped in leather, and sanded aluminum at few places. Higher variants come with softer leather seating, exclusive floor mats, and red wood gear shift knob.
