Nissan SUVs and Crossovers
The Japanese auto maker is well known for its vehicles like 370Z, Altima, Maxima, and electric models like Leaf. Its performance line comprising of GT-R and its variants is considered as legend in the business; but here we zero in our discussion to the equally popular Nissan SUV models. We have seen a total of 6 SUVs or crossovers in the company’s line so far- Pathfinder, Xterra, Rogue, Armada, Murano, and Murano CrossCabriolet.
Let us know more about each of these and see what they have to offer to their buyers.
2013 Pathfinder SUV
This is a 27 years old model in the company’s portfolio and is still going very strong with its 2013 model already announced. The latest 2013 Pathfinder marks the beginning of 4th generation of the very popular SUV. The latest 2013 model gets a 3.5 liter V6 engine. The power generated is yet to be tested and the pricing is yet to be announced. We can expect it to return 15 cty/22 hwy mpg.
This is rather a newer edition and made its debut just 7 years back in 2004. On the downside, this full size SUV has been consistently pushed back by the newer crops in the segment. Three variants in the line are SV, SL, and Platinum and all come powered by a 5.6 liter V8 engine that produces 317 hp @ 5200 rpm and 385 ft-lbs. @ 3400 rpm. At just 13 cty/19 hwy mpg, it is not one of the economic options as well. The starting MSRP of 2012 Armada is $39,870.
New Murano SUV
Again a newer entry that released in 2003, Murano SUV is a winner and clearly stands out in the crowd, thanks to the modern design and outlook. This one certainly does not let you down like Armada and is one of the best choices in midsize crossovers. Marketed in 4 variants, Murano gets a 3.5 liter V6 as the sole engine choice. It returns a respectable 18 cty/24 hwy mpg. The starting MSRP of 2012 Murano is $29,960, making it a very affordable option.
