There used to be a time when choosing an SUV over any other car was actually exchanging some more cargo space and interior room for fuel economy. This is in fact still the same for quite a few models though it is gradually changing over time. Now there are quite a few fuel efficient SUVs that are available in the market, which offer decent fuel economy. Some of these SUVs even offer 30 MPG while on the freeway. Let’s have a look at the ones that have made it to the top of the list:
Subaru Forester: This beautiful SUV is an all-wheel drive model. Its engine is a 2.5 litre capacity cylinder, which can churn out 170 hp and 174 lb-ft of torque. It gives you a mileage of about 32 miles per gallon on the freeway and about 24 miles per gallon in the city. It’s priced at $22,820.
